8th November Trail Loving session

Although 95% of the Royal Albany Trail is riding pretty sweet at the moment, there are plenty of jobs that need doing on the remaining sections.

There are still a few persistent ruts left over from winter that are holding water and which are only going to get deeper if not fixed. I'm particularly keen to remove a couple on Cortina which force me to unclip and put my foot on the ground.

There are also several parts of the track where gorse, punga, and grass is encroaching, so if you prefer cutting and hacking to digging your contribution will be welcomed. If anyone brings a weed-eater, the sections of trail nearest the university buildings need mowing the most.

Meet at the Bush Rd gate just before 9.00 am, or head up the road if you are later than that.

Your efforts will be appreciated.
